Money 911: Clarifying cell phone “loyalty” credits

This morning on Money 911, we heard from a woman who watched my segment on saving money on cell phones and tried to obtain the “loyalty credit” I talked about. When she called Verizon, she was told that such a thing does not exist. What’s going on here? Here’s a hint: it depends on the competition in your area and you do need to ask for the retention department.
