Frugal Friday: Crab, Pet Supplies and Television Deals

frugalfridayThis week’s Frugal Friday casts a wide net — not only can you score clothes for your kids, yourself and your pet at a discount this weekend, but you can also get a bucket of crab for half off, and find a television deal in time to watch the Super Bowl in style. Read on for the complete list:

Express. Today through Monday, the store is offering 40% off all items — including new arrivals. Be warned: the new arrivals scream spring, which can be maddening in the midst of the second Polar Vortex of the month.

Joe’s Crab Shack. To celebrate the fact that we are halfway to summer (now we’re talking…), the restaurant chain is running a promotion on snow or queen crab: Get 1/2 off a bucket of either option, now through January 26. More details are available on their Facebook page.

The Children’s Place. Get 25% off everything, in store and online. The code to use online is M6HJAN35HP, and in stores, you can print this coupon to get the deal.

PetSmart. They’re offering three different discounts, depending on your purchase, through February 3. The details: Get 15% off a $60 order, 20% off a $100 order, and $30 off a $150 order, online only. Note: the promotion is limited to 15% off on dry cat or dog food no matter how much you spend, likely to discourage you from stocking up (my first thought!).

Banana Republic. Get 30% off your entire purchase, through January 26, with the code BRSNOW30 at checkout. The deal is online only and not valid in stores. Bonus: Banana Republic’s sister store, Gap, is also offering 30% off right now. Same dates and online-only restriction applies, and the code is JUSTFORU.

Ulta. Through January 25, get $3.50 off any $10 purchase by presenting this coupon in stores. Online, you can use code 102647 to get the same deal.

Televisions. No, this last one isn’t a specific store. But in case you didn’t know, now — the days leading up to the Super Bowl — is the best time to buy a TV, because retailers deeply discount prices to lure you in the door. Dealnews.com has a round-up of the best HDTV deals — we thought it was worth passing on, so take a look if you’re on the market for a new tube.
